Gearing up for Barkway market this Saturday, 10am to 4pm. It was postponed last year and then cancelled so we are hoping for good weather this time. We shall have a good range of our bread including love buns, sourdough and bacon slices as well as a fourteen cheeses from The Cheeseplate, including some unusual ones. We shall also be selling Chicken pickings, a feed supplement and training aid developed by my Brother and selling like hot bread! There are over 100 stalls as well as entertainment (Royston Town Band etc). Look forward to seeing you.
Two weeks without an oven but now back baking and had a great market at Bassingbourn last Saturday. Baked a Barra brith/Barmbrack combo for Daughters birthday which went down well. Have found using self raising flour in the flour paste makes the lettering stand out/up!
