Flat bread course; 8 November

Had a flurry of booking for this course so only one place left.  If you want to know how to make Panini imbottiti (Italian stuffed buns), stuffed and flavoured focaccias, calzone and Turkish Pide, book now.

World Bread Awards

Delivered these at 8am yesterday morning!  Two of each: Turkish Pide, Aussie fruit loaf and Pesto swirl.  Pleased the colour of the red and green pesto still showed after baking.  The spare loaves tasted good but whether they are special enough remains to be seen.  Should know next week.

World Bread Awards entries

Next Wednesday is the big day and I have entered three breads.  Turns out I need to supply two of each in case one gets damaged so transporting six loaves to London will be interesting.  Have finally decided on Turkish pide, Pesto swirl and Ozzie Fruit Loaf.  Photos to follow.  Anyone I know entering?

Outlets for Hitchin Bakehouse bread

As well as being available direct from Hitchin Bakehouse, Nick and Johannah have added two more outlets for their bread: Henlow Deli (https://www.facebook.com/thehenlowdeli) and Parkside Farm Shop (http://www.parksidefarmshop.co.uk/).
